Spend Local, Buy Local!
Households spend more money in December than any other month. And given it's the gifting season it's no surprise that much of this is spent with online shopping or in Melbourne or other regional centres at larger or specialty stores in the hunt for cheaper prices and the perfect gift.
But that doesn't have to be the default way of thinking. In fact, our local retailers would love to help you out this time of year.
Every dollar counts
Every dollar spent at a local retailer ends up being invested locally.
By buying locally this December you are helping businesses employ local families, purchase local stock, and engage local trades. And investing in the local economy has other flow-on effects such as helping grow our schools, our facilities, and even our community groups.
