Drom Aluinn offers luxury farmstay accommodation set on 118 acres overlooking the Cathedral Ranges & Acheron Valley. Located between the Yarra Valley and the High Country, our farm is a short drive from Marysville and Lake Eildon.
It’s a perfect retreat for couples, groups of friends, skiers, bushwalkers or weddings.
We offer three luxurious bedrooms; two with en-suites and king-size beds & French doors onto the verandah, the third has a queen-size bed and a shared bathroom with claw foot bath & walk in shower. The lounge/dining room has a wood fire and a stunning outlook to the Cathedral Ranges.
Each bedroom has a 42”TV, alarm clock radio, fridge, ceiling fan, hydronic radiator & electric blanket.
We provide a fully cooked breakfast included in the tariff as well as an evening meal for an additional cost.
The farm runs a herd of Black Angus cattle as well as some sheep, a very friendly Angora goat and chooks, as well as a well-stocked veggie garden and the beginnings of a small orchard, all designed to provide seasonal food for our guests.
Sue and Peter were the perfect hosts and we had a lovely long weekend at Drom Aluinn. Our room was very comfortable and spacious with beautiful view across the valley to the Cathedral Range beyond. We were given a very warm welcome and loved getting to know the four-legged members of the farm – Riley, Basil, Rosemary – and of course, the chickens!
Sue provided a delicious breakfast, cooked to order each morning and we highly recommend staying for dinner as well (the Chicken and Leek pie! The Panna cotta!). There is plenty to explore in the region – hiking, wineries, four-wheel driving, great food, markets and much more. We look forward to returning.

Sue and Pete are great hosts, made us feel at home and took very good care of us. Sue is a great cook (meat and veggies from the garden!). The house is new, the B&B room and bathroom too. Beautiful view on the valley from the bed, pretty bathroom, all in a nice style with natural colours/materials. They’ve got a sweet dog, chicks, sheep, cows… Great spot for a weekend away from the city
